When the hurricane hit our area, our lives shifted. Collectively we experienced the landscape changing, the fields we walk through all flooded. They have new paths carved in them by the immense overflow connecting back to the river. The markings on this vessel are a reflection of the new paths forged by changes we experienced in real time, in mere moments. This vessel has sprouted a field of new flowers after the turbulence. The seeds will blow all over North Carolina to grow in neighboring counties and states. Spring still comes.
